Just wanted to vent that at all these places to go and play, nothing bothers me more than the yutz who has to be gabbing on the phone while playing. nono I mean to me it's just plain rude anywhere, but when we're playing for money, it just show utter lack of respect.Just venting is all....

Every card room that I have ever played in does not allow a player to be talking on the phone while playing. Some don't even allow them to be at the table even if someone isn't in a hand and some don't even allow cell phones in the poker room period.

I don't know what card room you are playing in that lets people talk on the phone while playing.

Indeed, they disturb other players and it's plain rude to be giving more attention to one person on a phone than to the other gamers.

Ignorance is the best way to describe it, and I know of few tables that are less than unimpressed with that behaviour.

Pfft, take his phone off him and toss it in the nearest trash can to be honest.

Even in the small games between friends that I attend we don't do that - if we wanna take a call, we leave the hand and the rest carry on till he's back, we don't sit at the table talking. It's rude, disrespectful and offputting.

Frustrating, and something that a lot of casinos will ban outright. Although they can't refuse players carry phones, they do expect them to be used respectfully which isn't at the table.

Still annoying if a game is held up by a guy on a phone, though at least he's not sharing his conversation with half the casino if he's stood outside.
