| I consider myself a mathematical minded person and I am interested in learning a little about game theory and how it potentially applies to poker. Can anyone give me a quick introduction or post some links through which i can learn more. I am mostly interested in how it applies to poker. |

I've looked into this and read several articles and skimmed some books to decide if they were worth buying and studying.
Based on all my research, the actual mathematics of game theory as related to poker has little to no practical application. |

| Umm...pot odds? Implied odds? Do you not use these when making decisions? I think most poker players do. |

| Pot and implied odds are not part of what is generally considered Game Theory, outside of regular poker doctrine. Did you read the article? |

| As far as I know, which is to say what Sklansky covers in TOP, game theory is used to achieve, or attempt to achieve true randomness in deciding to bluffing. I wouldn't try to stop you from learning about it, by any means, but I would say that you would only introduce it into your game if your opponents have detected a pattern to your bluffs, like you bet big card flops when you didn't raise preflop. The only thing I'm saying is your opponents have to be very good players to 'need' to use game theory, and I could almost see it backfire against the weak player. |

I like the idea of a good mind set based on Godly principles. See Poker Psychology
Be a good example for other poker players and you should win big. |
